My son's first day at the range...NOW WITH PHOTOS!

Post by Bogie35 »

My son and I went to the range today with his new Savage 22LR. His first ever experience with a gun more powerful than a Red Rider BB gun. His very first 3-shot group was 1" at 50 yards!!

Also, somebody on his mother's side of the family gave him an Obama Collectible Plate for Christmas. My son wanted to take it to the range and shoot it!
He hit it on his 3rd attempt, and it shattered! Yippeeeeeee! The guys at the range were dying laughing! :D :D

**PHOTOS ADDED BELOW**

My son made me promise we would return to the range tomorrow.

He's hooked! What a wonderful day!

The part about the plate was the best; the gifters probably are too clueless to understand why he'd feel that way - he's already got more social and political sense than most adults. :( AND he's a better shot...! 8)

Sounds like the kid's gonna be a naturally good shooter. Keep him disciplined in gun safety, and he'll enjoy a lifetime of shooting sports.

I have "before" and "after" photos of the plate, but the file is too large to post here. :?

Does anyone know a way around that?

Upload the photo to Photobucket. It can be resized there and posted directly to here.

You should also be able to open the photo file with your "Paint" program on your computer and resize it with that too.
