EBR?

Post by Paladin »

First I want to thank members of this form for all the great info I have gotten from them. I started reading this while I was deployed to Afghanistan in 07-08. I had not heard the term EBR before and that caused my warped mind to come up with a concept for a project.

The photos of the rifle below are the results of my tinkering. It started as a Marlin 336 in 35 Rem that I bought on Gunbroker for $189. I had the suppressor for one of my 7.62 x 39 machineguns and it is a duel use suppressors for .30 Cal rifles and 9mm submachine guns.
I had the rifle barrel removed and threaded by Lou at BlackHeart International and he set back the mag tube about a inch to accommodate the suppressor.
I finished the rifle with a black ceramic bake on finish call “Cerama-Coat” from Wheeler Engineering. It leaves a black mat finish after it is baked. With the addition of a black plastic Stock and forearm from brownells, a XS Scout Mount, and a ATN Holographic sight (for night use) it is finished.

A .35 Rem that you don’t need ear plugs to shoot.

Don't feel bad, Paladin.

I'm so dumb (and out of touch with such things) that I'm still not perfectly certain WHAT "EBR" means...

Just a simple levergun and SA revolver guy, I reckon.

I'm still waiting for "stealth bombs," that blow up silently, and scatter fragments at sub-sonic velocities... :P

Very kewl take on the concept.
Well executed. Should be perfect in the woods.

I like. A LOT.

Now, for a more practical version, do one in .38/.357... more ammo in the tube to feed to the Zombies 8)

Cool. I'd love to do the same thing to a Guide Gun - a suppressed .444 or .45-70 could throw a really BIG chunk of lead at just below the speed of sound.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Wonder about that, isn't the .35 Rem supersonic?

So's 9mm (usually).

But he said the can was dual-rated for .30 rifle and 9mm, so it should work OK on .35 rem.

I just think it would be better in .357

EBR= Enhanced Battle Rifle. It was coined when the M-14 was taken out of mothballs. They took some and made them in to sniper and Designated Marksman Rifles or shortened and given retractiable stocks and other modren day gadets to become the "EBR".

And theres nothing wrong with being leveraction / SA revolver guy, for I'm a DA revolver and levergun guy myself and you should see the stuff I get from the "Rambo" wannabes on other boards.

So you're amongst friends.

Try an AWC suppressor they make a special one for 45-70.

There's a bubba'd 1886 floating around here that I had that very suppressor in mind for. The cost of the tax stamp and can doubled the cost of the rifle. Still........
Kind regards,
