OT: Thanksgiving is saved!

Post by ab4ka »

I was at work today eating some nachos and managed to break a tooth! Not just any tooth, mind you, but one of the big ones in back :o

I just knew thanksgiving dinner was done. We just picked up a big ham at Sonny's today and I knew it was mighty tasty...I was not happy.

To make a long story short, I ended up at the dentist about 5:30, he pulled out the broken part (that thing almost split right in two vertically, thankfully the he was able to get out the broken part and the rest is still firmly anchored in place) and said I'm good to go! No filling, no other work, a nice clean break.

I was amazed that the whole thing only cost me $65! I almost hit the floor when the lady told me. I was expecting much worse.

Now I get to enjoy my ham and other fixin's, and have a great day tomorrow  The best part is, I've been having trouble with this tooth, and the dentist said he thought it must have cracked some time ago which is why it's been bothering me, and for some reason today it broke. It's nice when the black cloud has a silver lining 8)

Yeah, that would really suck if one couldn't enjoy eating something on Thanksgiving day.

Congrats!

My dentist had me scheduled for the 24th to get my temporary crown replaced with the permanent. I had it changed to next Tuesday. No way was I going to chance a bad fit or tenderness on Thanksgiving!
Kind regards,
Tycer

Just look forward to the $1000.00 crown next month. Enjoy Thanksgiving now and start saving for your "Christmas" present.
