Jeremy, when I was a kid, I grew up playing with my Dad's Navy dress sword and a piece of a tail-hook that had broken off of a jet that had landed on my Dad's carrier (the U.S.S. Independance). He flew an A-4. I still have it (it is very similar to your new sword), as well as other keepsakes from my Dad's days in the Navy. He's passed on now, but the keepsakes are so valuable to me. My Dad's Navy mug reads "King Tut" in gold on it. I use it for my morning cup of coffee much of the time. It took me many, many years to finally assume the family nick name of Tutt after he left. I spell it with two "T's" as I'm the second one. I'm sure your son will treasure that sword very much some day.
Also, when I was a school psychologist intern for Oceanside Unified School District, Stuart-Mesa Elementary School (pardon the misspelling if any) was one of the schools I regularly worked at. I will never forget the science fair day when various helicopters were landing on the grassy yard out back for the kids to crawl through later. This was circa 2002 or so. What a special day that was.
I'm sure looking forward to meeting you at the SoCal Reunion, my friend.

WOW Jeremy. That was quick. Did they have it in stock on base or did you have to order it?
Carry it with pride and put that extra little umph in your step when you're wearing it.
I believe you wear it on your left side don't you? It'll help you remember your left from your right when marching.

Old No7 Ordered it from the Marlow White Co. in Leavenworth, Ks.
They must of had it in stock because I think they shiped it a day or two after he ordered it.
And yes it is worn on your left carried in your right hand.

I was worried I was going to miss these pics today. I am traveling on business, and normally the site is blocked from the Charlotte airport. I tried and it wasn't this morning - must be fate!!!

Thank you very much for your service to our country. That is a very nice sword. I am very sorry that I did not have the money at the time to contribute to the cause. I hope that with my next job I will be able to do that.

Jeremy,
I have more respect for you and your like fellow soldiers than I have for ANY sports player, or for that matter, you boys are at the top of my list.
Funny thing, I went to my aunts funeral yesterday and while there, I was talking to my Uncle Joe, who I have not seen in some time. He was on the landing on the beach during D-Day. He spent 3 days buried in the rubble of a wall that fell on him. I thanked him for his service to our great nation to which he replied, "Well Jack, we sure are having nice weather today." I did not push it.
Thanks for your service pard.--------------Sixgun

Thank you Jeremy for your service and thanks to all Americans that helped pull this little country out of the quagmire on a couple of occasions.

Whatever you do always give 100%........... unless you are donating blood.
Game Keeper that is what brothers do help each other out of tight spots. I have had dealings with the Royal Army and Her Magistys Marines all a good group of warriors I would fight with you all and the Ozzies any where. I hope your country shows the same support to your troops as you fine people do for their American counter parts.

Jeremy,
That is a fine looking NCO Sword, wear it with pride and honor. I am glad I was able to assist in your dream, without dreams you got nothing.
May God Bless and keep you safe in your travels for this great country,

Actually, it would probably need a little grinder time before he could use it to give a Jihaadi a "shave"....2ndovc wrote:Man is that Sharp!!...

Republic. I like the sound of the word. It means people can live free, go or come, buy or sell, be drunk or sober, however they choose. Some words give you a feeling. Republic is one of those words that makes me tight in the throat . . . . Some words can give you a feeling that makes your heart warm. Republic is one of those words.
