Received this in an email stating it was a Phiranna. Do they get that big and nasty or is this a photoshop deal?

I always have watched wildlife shows since TV first came out. Many films and documentarys about the Phiranna, but never have seen one even half that size. Me thinks it is a fake!!! Art

I ain't a biologist and that ain't no piranah,it looks like the head was added like you said Ted.It looks real differnt around the gills area.
What does a tigerfish look like?

Did the article say were it was caught. It looks like it could be a African Tiger fish.

I reckon by the looks of the crew that it is in Africa. The guy in the beret looks to be carrying an AK,seems like they do over there.
