SPF - Marlin 39A Mountie

Post by jdad »

"Z" prefix, 1964, Williams receiver sight, new aftermarket sling, original period hang tag.

I took multiple photos of the right front muzzle because the flash made it look like it's bare metal.

Thanks Blaine, but I'm looking to get away from Microgrooved rimfires. I would be interested in an S&W 29 though.

 My first rifle ever was a early, beat to heck Mountie which I paid 35$$ and promptly ruined by over sanding the wood 8) . Still, that wood was beautiful and the finish was deep, deep into the wood. I stupidly traded it off about 9 years after I had it, thinking a RemChester Bolt would make a better squill rifle.......This was all decades ago......

This is great and I'm greatful for the second chance to repurchase my youth and dilute my poor decision making record in selling off weapons.

Good for you Blaine. I almost bought it myself (so thanks for preserving my marriage! ).

I'm just glad that I sold it to someone that may just have to teach grandkids how to shoot, in the not too distant future.
