OT-More Computer help

Someone posted the other day about changing the size of the print on the screen by holding down the control key and rolling the wheel on the mouse.

OK here's another one... Cowboy Tutt said he couldn't make a degree sign on the computer.
I found this out not long ago myself. To put the little circle nest to your numbers hold the alt. key down and type in "0-1-7-6" on your number pad

like thus 76°.

Google "alt codes" and you'll find some sites providing all the different codes available for the different symbols.

Alt codes. As in alt 248 °. Darned if you know the alt codes you been around computers awhile.

I've always said a feller could make a lot of money just givin lectures on all the features of different computer programs. MS Word is a big one. I doubt anyone knows EVERYTHING it can do.

Ya know.....I had NO idea how to make the degree sign until just now..

but at the same time, by the time I figure out how to do it again, and push all the right buttons, I could have just simply spelled out "degree". VERY handy to know, though....thanks for sharing.
