Marlin 39A Safety ?

Post by Texas45 »

OK another dumb question from a newbe. Does someone make a replaced bolt or something for the model 39A safety? I want to get rid of it, like I did on my 1894.

To get rid of the 39a safely, pack it in a strong box and ship it to me.

Sorry, I don't know how to fix the lawyer safety on the Marlins. Someone will.
Kind regards,
Tycer

You know, I've never seen one of the 39As with the safety... At least I can't remember seeing one.

There is a fix for the rebounding hammer. Logon to www.rimfirecentral.com and go to the "Marlin" forum. "Gizzy" has step by step instructions for modification.
I know a whole lot about very little and nothing about a whole lot.

I'm thinkin that the fix for the 1894 should work for the 39 as well. Mine is a 39AS with the safety but it's never bothered me enough to make me wanna "fix" it.
