Marlin Parts Dept Has No Stock Bullseye Logos
FYI: When I called the Marlin Parts Dept, this morning, I was told that Marlin no longer stocks any discontinued parts - even if for a gun currently produced.
I was calling to replace a missing plastic stock bullseye logo on a Model 39a.
Marlin has presently discontinued installing the bullseye/logo, and so it's now considered by them to be an "obsolete part".
I was referred to "any dealer in obsolete parts", like Numrich - where I was able to order two stock bullseyers @ $3.12 + $4.95 S&H.

I can usually get 3 pieces out of one bullseye blank. I have a stash of 5....just in case. I think the Remification consolidation, of Marlin, has begun.
I know a whole lot about very little and nothing about a whole lot.

I made one for one of my custom stock jobs out of Holly and a piece of Ebony in the center. Easy to do on the lathe.
Don`t have a pic. and the gun is thousands of miles away but it looks real good. Give it a try!![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

I believe when Marlin sold to Remington they did not sell the bullseye trademark, so thus they can't install them any longer.

Do you know who might own the trademark?

According to Tomray a Marlin engineer:
http://www.marlinowners.com/forums/inde ... 62.60.html
From:Guys,
All Marlin standard American Walnut stocks have the trademark Bullseye.
The birch and other hardwood stocks do NOT have the Buyllseye.
Some Presentation grade walnut stocks do not have the bullseye either......However, most do.
The American Walnut wood that is being manufactured currently also has the Bullseye.
I'll admit, I don't see every stock, but I have not been asked to remove the Bullseye from the manufacturing process, and I've not heard any mention of the Bullseye being dropped by Remington.
Could it be, that you were looking at hardwood, synthetic, Laminated XLR or camo stocks?

I called Marlin and asked, yesterday. She said that they still sell the bullseyes. Not definitive, but you could buy them yesterday.
Re: Marlin Parts Dept Has No Stock Bullseye Logos
That sucks ! It sure beats me, why a Marlin Firearms CSR would tell me one thing on Tuesday Morning, then another Marlin CSR say the exact opposite to someone else yesterday.
I've already ordered the bullseyes from Numrich, so Rem/Marlin snoozes/loses again - even if it's only a few bucks.
