Marlin 336cb question

Post by phc45-70 »

Did the Marlin 336cb that came in 30-30 and 38-55 have a tapered octogon barrel or was it just a straight octogon? I know the 1895cb in 45-70 is tapered and I like it very much. I'm looking for the same in a 30-30.

I'm thinking it had some taper to it. Don't know for sure though. It has been a while since I've seen one.
Sincerely,

Hobie
