I have been bitten by the L/A gun thing after getting an old 32/20 for which I asked and got help for on this forum. I have decided to get it redone so it is going to be out of action for a while.
I think I will buy a "new one" but which replica I don't know. I fancy 44/40 or 357 and the Win 92 or 73 action. Lets not consider the cost ,( within reason ) I want to shoot it. I am told the Uberti's are good, what others are there to be considered?
Thanks ......... Cj .............
I'am confused; which NEW L/A is best????

I would grab a Rossi Model 92 outta the pipeline, in either .357 and/or .45 Colt, before they become unobtainium and high-priced - because it looks like all Model 92's are now G-O-N-E from Rossi's website.

The new Chiappa '92s can't help but be at least as good as the Rossis. I do not mourn the loss of Rossi-made '92s at all.

Not yet, in my book.
According to our resident M92 gunsmith, and expert, Nate Kiowa Jones, the Armi Sport people who're making the Chaippa's carried over some pretty negative issues from early Rossi manufacture.
He said, in another thread elsewhere here, that he advised them of changes/etc, but never got any feedback, and so doesn't know it any were ever instituted.
At MUCH more dinero than the Rossi's, I won't be buying one anytime soon.
I have two new Rossi's, bought the month B 4 last, that needed nothing beyond peeping and loading.
