Completely OT: The Old Geezer becomes a Grandpa

Post by KirkD »

Well boys, I'm finally a grandpappy. With six kids, I'm hoping for a huge pile of grandchildren, and we've just had the first one. Here's a photo of my wife holding our first grandchild, born just a few days ago. She's a spanking healthy baby girl and her name is Mikayla Faith. If she's half as good lookin' as her Grandma, the boys and I will have to pack iron for a long time to come ....

Congrats, the first is very special I've been told. I've seen that they tend to bond very heavily with grandparents.

That's great Kirk. One of the great things about having grandkids is that you can enjoy them to the max and then when they start poopin and screaming, you and Grandma can hand them back over to their Mom and Dad. Oh, and Grandkids cost a lot of money. Just wait until your wife goes shopping for them. :) Cindy and I have 4 Grandkids.

Better start reloading ammo now. if you load a few hundred round each week, you should have enough to keep the teenage boys at bay, for a while, by the time she's 14 or 15.

Congratulations Kirk, she looks like a little angel. Just be gald she get her looks from Grandma and not Grandpa. ;-{p>~~

Kirk, congratulations. I have 6 grand kids, 2 girls 4 boys. They range in age from 9 months to 14 years. This new generation is a little different than when we raised our own kids. As the boys scouts motto says "be prepared". It's fun, frustrating, rewarding, nerve racking, but most of all enjoyable. It's a proud moment to see you kids become parents. :D
