Legacy Sports Mare's Leg
What experiences are we having with them? Are they working? Are they holding up?
Picked one up yesterday to play with & have not had time to shoot it yet.

Re: Legacy Sports Mare's Leg
May be a few days before I can get to shooting it.
Pictures? Oy!
It looks exactly like the one shown on the Legacy Sports website, except for where it's different.
They've shortened the stock further (which is more like the originals), and changed to the Type 2 lever, unlike that large loop lever they show & which was wrong for the gun.
Still has the wrong barrel length at 12 inches & still has sights (originals didn't), but it's very well done on the outside.
Actually, as you cause me to think about it, guess there's no reason I can't toodle up the hill & run a few quick function-test rounds through it tonight.
Formal accuracy stuff will have to wait.
Still hoping for experiences among people here.

Thanks, Hobie.
2nd,
This is the photo I emailed Hobie, I dunno how to do things that require intelligence like posting it myself.
Very well made on the outside, cycles snapcaps perfectly.

Re: Legacy Sports Mare's Leg
I'd say so.
Been watching those via NETFLIX lately.
If I keep this critter, I'm afraid it'll be a Johnny Yuma shotgun next....
(That'll run into some cash.)
Denis
Second childhoods have to be experienced to be fully appreciated.
More money the second time around.

LETS GO SHOOT'N BOYS
Re: Legacy Sports Mare's Leg
Shazzam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If this thing can stay inside 4 inches at 25 yards, it ain't goin back.
Totally impractical & funner'nh ell.
Put 24 rounds of a utility lead load through it, hit the ground each & every time.
Tried it two-handed (Note: Do not fire with butt real close to nose.), one-handed, and braced on the hip rapid-fire two-handed. No challenge to Chuck Connors' record, but still fun.
Unlike previous Italian 92 repros I've tried, this one's smoother'n a greased pig & it works.
Told Bubbles we'll probably be selling the house to buy it, her immediate response was "You have to get the leather, too. It looks cool."
.44-40? Betcher booties!

Re: Legacy Sports Mare's Leg
In my case it'll be tax deducible (which helps), she has two Marlins she's very fond of from her caboy-shooting days herself (among other guns she owns), and she IS very understanding.
She has to be, to put up with me for as long as she has.

Nobody else has one of these?
Sure like to hear of others' experiences with 'em.

Beautiful!
Is that a handgun under federal law or do you need a "tax stamp"?

Re: Legacy Sports Mare's Leg
I looked at these at the gunshop, thought it would be too much fun. They had it listed for $1,250. For the price, I believe you could buy any lever, pay the tax -$200, do the work and still be ahead by $500 for ammo.
