OT: Blackpowder Shooting Bag with Coyote Face

Post by Old No7 »

Ahoy the campfire:

This is a follow-up to a recent post of mine where I was debating between staying with my tried & true (and traditional) sidelock muzzleloader, or adopting the shiny new & modern inline. Thanks to all those who posted on that recent thread: Sidelock OR Inline

As you can tell from this pix of my latest shop project...
Coyote Face possibles bag (Small).jpg
...I think now you'all can tell which just BP rifle I'll be carrying this fall!

Yup, this shooting bag seems much more natural to me than one made of cordura nylon with zippers. For just $5.00, the tanned coyote face gave my old fringed shooting bag a whole new look. :D

Tight groups!

Looks great. I have been thinking along the same lines. Gander Mt. sells skins I have been thinking of building a bag from scratch using a hole fox.

Glad you went traditional. They seem to have more soul to me.

Real good choice brother. Coyote might bring some luck, Stick with the "true" rifle 8) makes everything better

The traditional side locks just sing to me. The new fangled in lines don't. They're too much like modern rifles and take the tradition out of muzzle loader hunting and shooting. JMHO.

Very nice job. That would make a good all-around shooting bag for all types of shooting -- not just black powder.
