Hi all - first post, but I've been around for quite some time now, since sixgunner. Anyway, looking into a Puma 92, stainless 44, and I had a few questions. Are they still running overbore? Are the newer Chiappa-made models better or worse quality (and are they hitting the streets yet)? Also, what kind of OAL are they limited to - can they handle the redhawk-length 1.78"? 1.73?
Thanks for the help, and for letting me take part here,
Pete

Pete,
I don't have any of the answers you are looking for, but welcome to the forum. I'll bump you back to the top and hopefully somebody can answer them.

Re: Puma 92 Questions
I'm having Steve Young do a stainless PUMA 92 trapper in .44 Mag for me. He tells me that the overbore condition has been fixed on recent guns. Afraid I don't know a thing about the Chiappa guns or any numbers on the cartridge OAL.
Steve was able to locate this PUMA for me recently, he may be able to get another. And EMF will continue to import the Rossi (Brazilian made) 92's.
