My Marlin cap
Old guys, especially me, hardly ever get a chance to brag, but I am taking this opportunity to do so. At the last cowboy silhouette match I attended, June of last year, everything came together for once. The Master class shooters had an off day (don't you love when that happens?) and I had a rare on day. It was a two gun match, smallbore and pistol cartridge. Shot a personal best 35x40 smallbore and tied for match winner in PC with a 30. Then I (AAA) shot off with two Master class shooters and won the shootoff. I may not get to another match but I'm not throwing these two pins away.

Congratulations! Those are worth hanging on to!
Re: My Marlin cap
Congratulations!
As a fellow AAA, I too just love it when:
A. I shoot real well and the Master class shooters don't show up
OR
B. I shoot real well and the Master class shooters don't......it proves they're human.
We never forget those days......

CONGRATS !!!

Re: My Marlin cap
Steelbanger,
YOU HAD QUITE A DAY!!! Every right to brag a little.
How many shots did it take to win the shootoff??? Bet you were mighty relieved when that was over and you had sealed your victory.
And then to shoot a 35 out of 40 for your personal best! Well done! So glad that when you shot your personal best that you were able to claim the prize! I've had it happen that I shoot really good one day and that one guy is just ON that same day and you come in 2nd or some people call it "first loser!"
Something very satisfying to win the match! I also notice it says MARLIN on that cap instead of that "OTHER" manufacturer!!! Thumbs up!!
