Range Report

30-30 Savage 340, 130gr Speer over 35grs of H-335. I got this idea from Paco and man does it ever shoot. Wish I had a chrony. I glass bedded the action, floated the barrel up to the barrel band, refinished stock and put a Nikon 2 x 7 on it. I am a happy camper, shooter, whatever!

My eyes sure aren't what they were so I was amazed at how this old rifle shoots. I had a little trouble getting from the 50 to the hundred but then remembered to tap the scope turrets to set it in tight. The last 2 shots were all I had of Paco's load but am heading back to the range on Monday. Will try the LE stuff plus some more of 130 gr load. I also forgot my rifle rest so was using some old phone books folded up for a rest. I love this ole 340.
