Browning 53 or browning 65

I have a chance to pick up a Browning 53 in 32/20 or a Browning 65 in 218 .The gun would be used for short range coyotes, which would you choose

I would pick the 53.

I'd try to get both but the 53 would likely be the best of the two for that purpose. However, the .218 is no slouch!

Unless you are a reloader, the factory Bee ammo will give your wallet a serious sting. There are more factory loads available for the 32/20 at probably half the cost.

Both are beautiful guns, but I'd prefer the Model 53 32-20 for coyotes. As has been mentioned, factory 218 Bee ammo is a king's ransom.

If you ever tire of the purchase, the M53 will sell 3x faster than the M65.

I agree and I would really, really, really, really try to find a way to acquire BOTH. Kind of like choosing between Farrah or Jaclyn. I would most certainly want both.1886.

Check out Reed's Ammunition for 218 Bee ammo before you make a decision against the 65 based on the cost of ammo. I've had both the Browning Model 53 and 65 and ultimately kept only the Browning 65 in 218 Bee. It has become a favorite caliber and rifle!
