Anybody getting these? The nr they come from is 703-291-9022. This area code is in Virginia. All I get is somebody hanging up or a fax tone. Tried a reverse on the nr. but no info avail.

Re: Fake NRA phone calls
I don't have caller ID. IF a caller (i.e. I didn't call them) asks for CC or other info I don't give it. Whether or not I tell them why I won't depends on their attitude. Many times I just hang up. IMO, a solicitor should expect that you wouldn't give any such info. Sort of makes the whole call a waste then.
Sincerely,
Hobie

I don't have caller ID either but am like Hobie, I never give out cc numbers or even address unless I called them and have done bisness with them before.

Ever see those mini little air horns you can buy?
Also if you actually take off the horn (it pops on and off) you need to keep air plugs by the phone for yourself as well, it hurts.
I actually picked the thing for my wife up because my daughter said something about calling 1-800-bad-mom when she scolded her. I don't think my daughter will ever take a shower again without listening for a door squeak. I never get mad, I get even, and my wife is a good learner.

Re: Fake NRA phone calls
I have not had that kind of call before but I have folks calling asking for money/support for vet's and such. What I do is tell them to send me something in the mail so I can check them out. Never do business or give out anything over the phone if you don't know that Org,etc.

Re: Fake NRA phone calls
I take it one step further. When I'm home, I quietly unplug the phone. If I'm in a good mood (or my wife is home
)and have the phone plugged in, I just don't answer it.

Have the caller I D and there is a function that I can zap unwanted calls.Mark the nr. and when a call comes in it rings twice and there gone. This was great during the elections

I do like Sixgun, unless I just happen to be standing next to the phone when it rings. The wife answers, or the answer machine picks up, if it's someone I want to talk to I call them back. Indiana has a "no call" law and we are on the list, it works pretty good.
