M71 ???????? Round II

Post by justdang »

I had an event happen today and I am in a position that I do not know what to do now! The gentleman I got the carbine from called and I traded with him for a numbers matching sister rifle. In other words the carbine and the rifle have the same serial numbers and are identical in every way excepting barrel length. I did not know such a condition would exist.
I know there are some here who know more about these rifle's than i do and am seeking advise. Does this increase the desirability?

For collectors, yes! There are many such sets out there, as some distributors would hold a number for you as each version was released. During my "Browning phase," I had, at one point, a complete set of 1895s, 1886s in field and high grade with the same number. Sold them for what I thought was an excellent return........
Wish I had that to do over again!
