Anybody MAKE an interesting tincture or other not-available-at-retail Christmas Spirit?
I've taken to making my own unsweetened Coffee Liquor - I got into it when I was wondering where to put the "extra" 250ml left after decanting a 1.75 into "presentation" bottles:
1 cup (250ml) Vodka, 1 cup (250ml) Brandy, 8 TBSP instant coffee, mix. Let settle. Titrate/decant into an empty: X 2 (drink the dregs if/when you need a "hair of the dog" morning pickmeup...)
This makes a STRONG collee liquor that works particularly well in place of Instant Coffee when mixed 1oz to a Mug of Hot Water...
