How many firearms do you WANT???
This is a companion topic to the other topic on how many firearms you own. Hey, it's Christmas already:
Here's my wish list:
BFR revolver in 30-30
Rossi .357 revolver
a springer airgun in .177 or a Benjamin Sheridan in .177
Marlin XLR in 30-30 or 35 Rem (I really want them to come out with a walnut/blue version first)
a slicked up 1892 in .357 with a 24" barrel (the Nate Kiowa Jones one)
most of these would duplicate what I already have, so I don't "need" any of them.
The one that interests me the most is the 30-30 revolver. Light and compact for hunting, more power for defense than a .357, a good hiking companion. And probably a not bad silhouette machine either.

Re: How many firearms do you WANT???
Well if you read my post on how many you have you will know what I have. How many I want???
Not a week goes bye that I do not see one I want, so I will keep on adding to the collection whenever I can afford to, simple as that.
Pop.

Re: How many firearms do you WANT???
I'll start with one of everything made and kind of figure out which ones I'd like to keep after that
Ammunition for each gun too.

Maybe even some small field pieces.

If these walls could talk, I'd listen to the floor.

Re: How many firearms do you WANT???
.45-70 - Check - though I'd prefer a slightly different model...
.357 Rifle - Check
.22 Rifle - Check
12ga Pump - Check
Double/Drilling - Check
CCP or 2 - Check
Flintlock - Check
A good Stainless .45 C&B Revolver (5" ROA)
A good .45 Underhammer &/or Caplock Drilling
A good subgun (SUB 2000 with 30rd Glock/9mm mags)
A High Powered, large caliber, PCP Airgun.
A Stainless 20x20x.357max Drilling
I think that pretty much covers it... Except for the Cold Steel Dragonfly Wakazashi...

Re: How many firearms do you WANT???
Almost everytime I go in my favorite gunshop I see a used rifle or revolver I want.
Re: How many firearms do you WANT???
Well, aside from those which are simply interesting...
#1 - Ruger flattop .44 Special 4-5/8"
#2 - Ruger flattop .45 Colt 4-5/8" (extra .45 ACP cylinder would be nice)
I liked the idea of a small field piece.

That is Doc Hudson's pic of a Krupp Model of 1905 5 cm Mountain Gun.

Re: How many firearms do you WANT???
Well, how many is a silly question really. I don't think I could list them all.
However, I can narrow it down to two.
One I need, a 12 gauge shotgun. I'm kinda wanting one of the 1887 lever actions. Not Chi Com though.
~~AND~~
My holy grail. A 4 ¾", Blued/CCH, .45 Colt, with real Elephant ivory grips, Colt SAA.
I've wanted one of those since I was about 5 I think. About the time me and my mom and dad went to see the first John Wayne western at an outdoor theater.
Someday I hope.

Re: How many firearms do you WANT???
The small field piece is definitely on my list, love a Hotchkiss mtn rifle in 37mm, along with a Gatling, preferred in 357 or 44 mag. Next would be a good double rifle in 45-70 (Best chance of this than the first two).
To get to reality now:
Marlin 1895 in 40-65
336XLR in 338 or 358 Hornady express
336 platform in 357Max or 445 Max
260 rem in the 700 CDL SS platform
450 bushmaster
1919a4 in 308/8mm mauser (cool factor!!)

I want far more guns than my finances will ever support! I happen to have a great appreciation for the beauty and utility of the firearm, not to mention the philosophical aspects of gun ownership.

Re: How many firearms do you WANT???
Yep, all of 'em!
But seriously, for now I'm missing a '76 to start with and for some reason have been hesitant on pulling the trigger, so to speak.
Just picked up a 1890 Loewe 1888 Commission, should be here within the week. Like to add a 71/84...checking out one as we speak. That way I'd only be missing a Dryse needle to complete my 1865 to 1945 German collection, already have Gew 98's in various configurations. Also have a Std. Modell Mauser and three K98k's along with a Stg. 44. My Russian stuff is complete except for a Winchester '95 chambered for 7.62 X 54R. Got enough Brits. Still trying to locate a decent '61 Springfield that is not over priced.
Oh yea, forgot the most important...I really need a '92 chambered for .44WCF, preferrably with a 20" barrel.

S&W Mod. 24
S&W M15
.50-70 Rolling Block w/ wiping rod.
A side lever Rolling Block or a Hepburn both probably chambered for .45-2.1" (AKA .45-70).
A swivel breech muzzle loader.

The most important aspect of this signature line is that you don't realize it doesn't say anything significant until you are just about done reading it & then it is too late to stop reading it....

Re: How many firearms do you WANT???
One of each will do - each model, from every manufacturer, throughout the history of firearms. I'm trying to keep it simple!
Seriously though, I would like to have several themes completed - er, started. A working representative sample of every standard military arm throughout US history. A working model of every ignition type (match-lock, wheel-lock, etc.). A working model or reproduction of every Colt percussion revolver model. A working model or reproduction of every Winchester lever action model.
Okay, back to my original request!

I would really like a nice Win. '73 in 38-40. As a kid I had one that shot plastic bullets. I fell in love with the looks of the '73. I'd just have to get rid of something(s) to get one as high as they are.
