I just picked up a 94 trapper in 44 mag. I really like it and shot it for the first time today. Sweet little gun with quite a punch. BUT
It pulls the fired cases and releases them but does not throw them out. I have to tip the gun or pick them out.
Any easy look fors or fixes? Worn ejector or possibly weak spring?

Re: 94 trapper ejection problem
It probably just needs an ejector spring.

Re: 94 trapper ejection problem
I'd be more inclined to think it was grit picked up rather than either a worn spring. Can you depress the ejector with your finger? If so, then it's like a weak spring. If not, then gunk has probably accumulated in the spring slowing it's snap. Is the "claw" of the extractor nice and sharp, or is the underside rounded. It could be simply allowing the rim to slip out from under it defeating the purpose of the ejector to snap it out once the case clears the chamber.
Work the action VERY slowly and see if the extractor is fully engaging the rim and holding it till the case is clear. If not, it's the extractor, if it does, try a very agressive spray type cleaner on the ejector and spring. I like "Gumout" or something similar. It may need disassembly to truly get all the gunk out.

Is this Trapper an AE model? I suspect it is, so look real close at the extractor. They are very thin and easily bent compared to the top eject 94s. They need to have an inward arch to them to keep the tension on the case until the ejector boots the case out.
Griff's suggestion of cleaning things thoroughly is the first thing I'd try. Especially if the Trapper had any cowboy ammo shot through it. Some of that stuff is real low pressure and you can get quite a lot of blow back into the breach face and action.
If that don't help, I'd pop the gun apart and look carefully at the extractor making sure it's got good tension on it. Check everything else too.
