He tried using his stun gun on a 450-pound boar rooting up shrubbery
BROOKSVILLE, Fla. - While normally effective on people, a Hernando deputy learned the hard way that Taser stun guns do not work very well on wild boars.
The sheriff's office reported that Deputy Joseph Tibor responded to complaints of an "extremely large pig" tearing up a resident's yard in a Brooksville neighborhood Tuesday morning. He quickly found a 450-pound boar rooting up shrubbery and threatening a water fountain.
The animal then flashed his tusks toward onlookers. Tibor tried to stop it with his Taser, but the 50,000 volts had no effect on the animal. (duh)
The boar was eventually corralled into a neighbor's trailer.

I'm a deputy and certified on a tazer, and no one ever told me that a tazer wouldn't work on a pig.
The bigger question becomes: If the tazer was effective, what are you going to do with it once it's tazed?
I happen to know that OC spray is very effective on porcine critters. Be careful before pepper spraying a pig that it's pointed in the direction you want the pig to travel. when the spray takes effect, the pig is going to leave the area at a high rate of speed.

It might... but not a 450lb one. I'm not sure a Tazer would work on a 450lb Human...
And a 450lb Hog is WAAAAY tougher than a 450lb human.

Worse, what are you going to do once you let up on the trigger and it shakes off the buzz and is SERIOUSLY PO'd...?
