Politics: Not all black people are Obama supporters

Post by J Miller »

I had my Pathfinder in the shop yesterday for some preventive maintenance. Once the estimate was handed me I swallowed hard and signed on the dotted line. Then they gave me a ride home.

The driver was a black fellow with a really great sense of humor. We hit it off pretty quick. As we were on the way I realized he had the cars radio turned to Rush Limbaugh. Of course Limbaugh was talking politics and so we got to doing the same.
Turns out he thinks Obama is an inexperienced nobody. He doesn't think much of McCain either but he said, McCains got the experience to do the job. We both agreed on that. What we really though would be great was if the Republican ticket read Palin / McCain.

One of the things Limbaugh was discussing was the democrats were worried about the polls. Specifically the fact that they believe many respondents were lying to the pollsters about voting for Obama. Supposedly there is a 5% factor that are saying they are going to vote for Obama, but really are not. That has the democrats freeking out. We got a kick out of that.

We both agreed that now that we are in Iraq we simply cannot just up and pull out. We gotta stay to get the job done. We figured that Obama would try to sneak our troops out by the back door like a coward in the night. And that one way or the other McCain would keep them there to finish the job, but would try to get it done as soon as possible.

We discussed the financial bail outs of the banks and mortgage companies and both of us agreed that the govt should just stay of it and let them fail. The strong survive and week don't. But we know they didn't do that and now the poor American tax payers are gonna get screwed worse.

But the biggest thing we agreed on is that we we be sooooooo glad when November 5th comes around and this two year plus campaign is over with.

So, don't sweat what the leftist media is saying, they are probably really wrong.

Joe

Sounds like an old soldier. When I was in the army most soldiers no matter what color learned to count on each other for everything. You were forced to grow up in the service. I seen alot of black soldiers who voted rep while serving.

I absolutely agree. But I do predict that if Barack Hussein Obama (God help us, and the US) is elected President he will suddenly discover some reason we cannot withdraw from Iraq as he is promising. Dems seem particularly adept at getting the US into wars, but, since President Truman and then only one out of two, absolutely incapable of getting us out of one. Don't be surprised if this, and Afghanistan, go on until the next Republican President is elected. :( :( :(

I agree - and the funny thing is the anti-war nutcases will all lose it, but this is so predictable. Cooler heads in the Dem party - with a ton more experience - are going to prevail. They know if they cut and run they will be blamed up front - and then even more so when we have to return to mop up yet again. Their anti-war lunatic base just has no understanding whatsoever of history...

Was at a really adult social gathering Friday (my wife and I just don't get out that often!), and started up a conversation with a black gentleman who was there. Went for about a minute before he swung it to politics. Turned out he was as conservative as I am! We had a ball jawing about all things political.

Of course, my wife was mad at me because I didn't "mingle" enough!
