OT- Louis L'amour books
In going through the things willed to my son from his late uncle, one of the things he now has is a set of Louis L'amour books. I've looked these up and all I can find on the web site is that they are not sold in stores and that each book is 6"X9" with simulated leather cover. Has anyone else endeavored to acquire this set? I was wondering how many there might be to complete the set. Jr. now has 61 copies.
He also has a set of historical books that seem to be put out by the NRA. La'piere's signature is on the cover of these. He also has 18 of those.

Re: OT- Louis L'amour books
I have never met a L'amour book I didn't like!! I had about 50 when our homestead burnt down. They are getting harder to come by in excellent shape. I think this is because people can't keep from re-reading them; sort of like visiting an old friend! very good reading even the second and third time.

IIRC, there were over 100 (maybe way over) in the Bantam Book Collection, I think I have 100.

Thanks Jerry.
I saw the number 84 some where in all my looking but it seems like that's what is available in hardback new from the publisher. I like 'em all but "Last of the Breed" was the best, IMHO.

Re: OT- Louis L'amour books
Rusty, my friend only has about 40 so I know that is not a full set. It would be hard to pick just one but Last of the Breed was good.

Thanks OD, so there's 128 of them all together. that's a bunch of readin for sure.
I wonder if a fella could pick up where they left off in the collection? I'll have to check with Bantam and find out.

That's a nice collection, Rusty.
It will keep him busy for many winter evenings.

Re: OT- Louis L'amour books
If you go to http://www.louislamour.com you can find information on the books you are asking about. I belong to this book club, and I get a new novel every month. They are even printing some of his works that never made into print.
Hope this helps,
Jim
