94 winchester compass?

Post by jonboy 69 »

a local gun shop has a 1920's 94 saddle ring carbine in 32special. overall condition of the gun is pretty good BUT there is about a 7/16" hole in the left side of the buttstock. i know it once held a compass probably. the owner of the shop states that winchester sold some gun compass' for aftermarket use. anyone heard of this or ever seen one? know where there is one for sale if they exist? it wouldn't surprise me as winchester had so many irons in the fire. thanks........

Marbles Gunsight Co. and I think Williams made them and they were popular in the years around WWII . They are a collector item now. I have seen a few at gun shows. :D
