POLITICS - debates

Post by L8agin »

What a waste of time!! Nothing changed. chances are cause there wasen't any chalenges to the validity of claims everybody still believes the same. They may like the way their side handeled themselves, they still believe the same.
One thing not explored enough was values and liberals can't win there

Iffel was a great moderator, Palin reestablished herself and McCain, and Biden got Barrack and his views out very well. They both won in their respective ways. I still disagree with most of both of their financial, domestic and foreign policies and I'll still be voting 3rd party. As a former 18 year Republican, this is the first time I have sat back and watched the two party system as an unbiased observer for a year, you learn a lot about how media, TV news and talk radio manipulate the listener/viewer. It is interesting to listen and watch friends now as they defend their party/candidate. It has been a good education on how we become the people we become. I forget who said it but to paraphrase, we will become the books we read and the people we meet in the next five years. I would add the news we read, watch or listen to and how we have trained ourselves from observation to filter out what is fact and rhetoric. Or maybe everyone else allready has these abilities and I am just a slow learner. :D

I disagree. I watched the after stuff and even Tom Brokaw(sp) said that it seemed to go in Gov. Palin's favor. I thought it was good and I thought she proved very well at debate and that she knew alot more about what was going on then people thought. They talked tons on forigen policy and she was right there in it with both hands.

I think both had been very well coached over the last couple of weeks. It seemed to me Palin refered to some sort of notes on the table. I think it was a tie. She didn't flub and Biden didn't run off at the mouth as he is prone to do. Not much said differently than before. They are just as far apart politically as they aways were. Ho-hum, more debates next week. Oh, she crossed Main Street and Wall Street once, no big deal.

She did great.

You know, in those interviews, the liberal flakes researched everything they could find that might cause her to falter. It was unfair from the very start.
But tonight, she was on an even playing field. She reamed Biden's bung so bad that he got flustered and referred to Obama as Barrack "al" Bama. I laughed so hard that I had to miss a few minutes of the debate to compose myself!

Sadly, "Political Correctness" is the most powerful religion in America, and it has ruined our society.
