It's worth every penny!

Sixgun--------------up to what latest production year did they build them (like that/yours)that solid with that inline 6/ good tranny/4wd system etc ??????????
If I could find a good pre 1996--------in NYS it don't require the inspection computer scan deal.
Just need one without (rust)too bad!

2006 last year for. I6 in a wrangler. Unsure about other models. A lot of purist say that was the last year of the "good" Jeeps. Opinions vary, Lotta guys like the new ones too-I personally can't afford a newer one. I'm happy as a clam with the little 2000 model wrangler I bought as a toy/hunting vehicle.
It has 183,000 miles on it and still drives like I would expect something with 40,000 miles on it to drive. Not like new, but still very solid. It has the I six also with a five speed. The five-speed gets old sometimes because I don't enjoy driving them as much as I did when I was younger but it's been reliable nonetheless
I’m not in the market for a Jeep, actually being a sportscar guy myself, but I agree the Craigslist ad is just priceless!
The girl friend has a 2006 Wrangler X. She is in the other room laughing hysterically at the ad. She told me that she thinks the seller is her long lost twin! <LOL!>

The 2006 IS the last year for the I6 in a Wrangler. The g/f is ever so glad she bought hers. As the designated mechanic, I have to say it's darn easy to work on. I maintain it with the same dedication that I lavish on my 2009 Corvette, so you can imagine how well the Jeep runs.

I especially like the commercials showing the capable 46 year old gent with just the right amount of facial scruff working on his Camaro, pulling his pickup out of the mud with his horses, and then starting a fire on the beach with his Buck knife !

I do not think that is the same person.
It is also unrealistic and not palatable.

See, I thought those were stupid pills. He goes through all the trouble of hooking up the horses and never just reached down and pulled the old Dodge into four wheel drive. Only the rear spun when it showed him stuck.
Then when he gets home he tracks mud in the house and is a half hour later than he needed to be. Pretty poor excuse for a cowboy.
I rant every time I see it.
Jeep guys are way smarter than that!

About an 84-85 Dodge. Two tone beige and brown. Trust me.

Thanks for mentioning it, I have seen this commercial 6 times in the last 2 hours. What kind of cowboy has street tires on a work truck when driving muddy dirt roads and not have the hubs locked in, or be in 4H or 4L to begin with.
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!

Haha no problem. I drove those old Dodges (and Chevys) for years. The old straight axle trucks ruled.
