Sorry fellahs. It is an EMF Hartford model. Not being made any more and I searched far and wide for one with CCH and wood that pretty. The buttstock is not quite as nice as the forend, but it is actually a bit better than that pic shows... the flash line covers it up some. Darned handy little gun - you'll notice the hammers are bent in a bit. I can just get them both at once.
Even though it has that safety, it is pretty low key, in just the right place and easy to flick off with the thumb. And though I have never been in the position to see one from the front, I imagine seeing it lifted, closed and the hammers clicking while pointed at you would be one intimidating sight!
A couple of my favorites - My Purdey of 1893 that belonged to the Earl of Sefton 100% as new in trunk case with charge card, label and accessories (yes I shoot it regularly) and the only shotgun I specifically made for myself and intended to keep, a J. Riekers 28b on a NID action and some assorted working guns: Savage pre serial #; Benelli prototype before Black Eagle II; Rem 870 my Dad gave me purchased the day I was born; custom stocked 870 (slug gun); 1939 Iver Johnson single shot; Rem 1100. Conspicuously missing is my most used shotgun, an AyA 453 20b that I hand selected and started at the factory in 1997. I better go make sure I can account for it .......
