Very cool fellas.....mine are mostly simple. I have others I won't bore you with, and have owned about 10 more. But my favorites:
L-R
-My Grandfather's(Mom side) last gun that he bought/owned, and willed to me, a Topper H & R 12 Gauge that I had shortened for turkey/screw in choke.
-One of my Boyhood Sinlges...a Winchester 37A in 12 Gauge. Bought it NIB at a drive through liquor store when I was 13!(my mom signed of course).
-My Grandfather's(Dad's side) Winchester Mod. 37 in 12 Gauge. He would always bring it out when I went over to his house, and I would ogle over it. Never thought my Dad would give it to me someday.
-A Western Field folding 20 Gauge. Here it is folded below:

Just have the two. My long time favorite, a Browning Light 12 and a recently purchased Marlin Model 55G bolt action. Nothing like shooting trap with a bolt gun to gain proficiency with the action. I still prefer the Browning though.
Pre-1920 "El Cheapos", Philadephia made A.H.Fox Sterlingworth 12, 16 and 20 Ga doubles.

I'm surprised how many people have Winchester Model 97's. I was really seriously looking at getting one but will probably get something else instead. Like almost all of JB's designs they are handsome looking.
Mike, that Parker is beautiful. I wish I could have purchased that Parker 10 guage external hammer model one I found, but sadly I had to let it go.
You guys have some very nice shotguns.

thanks guys, Noah, I never put the two together till tonight.
The 870 is awesome, they even have a holster for it. I would feel like an alternate Steve McQueen in Wanted dead or alive if I did that. I plan on having it on a sling when I carry it.

I have one I'll share. I had a genuine 1897 12 ga, but it was quite rough. It was given to me, so my investment was nil. I decided I wanted a trench gun. My gun, my choice. So, this is what one of my Winchester 1897's became. However, my local gunsmithing professional helped me to make this same shotgun convertable from this trench gun configuration to a standard long barreled 12 ga. using the gun's original barrel for the long gun version. Also, new parkerizing. Had to purchases some spare parts, of course (magazine tube, barrel bands, etc.) But, the result is that I can go from trench gun to long gun back to trench gun in just a couple minutes. It works and shoots well. I did have a new stock for it, but then I decided to repair and refinish the original. Fixed the bad cracks with some of the new Gorilla Glue low viscosity stuff. Turned out OK. Pictured below with the gun's original stock.
I also have an 1897 Winchester in 16 ga. Anyone know where I can get a replacement barrel? While the gun is in decent shape, the barrel has a bulge about three inches from the muzzle.

I have a beatup 97 riot gun, too, but forgot to post this one. My last year's purchase of a Model 12 Heavy Duck.

Old thread, but I wanted to post an old gun. I got lucky this past weekend, and found a dealer at an antique show who had a Winchester 1897 in 12 ga and he was in a selling mood. So, this is new to me, but the serial number of this take-down shotgun dates it to 1901.
One more 1897, and it will get used.

All good shooters.

I like doubles. The Ithaca pictured below was made in 1921 and is my favorite. Its also the only one I currently have a picture of. In addition to the Ithaca, I have a Lefever, a Stevens and a like new pre-war Model 24 Winchester.
Here's Blondie. It's actually more of a pumpkin color to the stocks when not in the sun. Stevens 311C in 12 Gauge. This is a 1960's gun but the metal looks like it was made yesterday. The sculpted receiver gives these guns a little more character.

Feel free to "boo" me out of the room ----- this is my only scatter gun The ubiquitous 870 with parkerized finish, rifle sights and an 8 round tube. One day i will proudly post a pic of a Winny Model 50 20 gauge -- but i havent found the right one yet
An Ithaca damascus hammer double in 10 gauge, made in 1909 and still in near mint condition. I shoot it with 2 7/8" black powder loads. Kills pheasant waaaaay out there!

They sure do. I've had a dozen different pump guns but the '97 makes the bset sound (my model 12 is close though)

IF I had to get rid of all my shotguns, Heaven forbid, one of my three 870's would be the last to go. Hard to beat 'em.

I don't have any nice shootsguns... but I have several shooters.
Maybe not a shooter, but I like this Sam Holt 12 gauge I rescued... (that's my story Sixgun, & I'm stickin' to it!!!)
1919 Riverside Arms 12 ga.
No pics of the rest, but they're just a couple of IGA Stoegers, a Rossi coach gun in 20 ga. and a 870 with a couple of barrels.

Streetcar you wont hear any boo's from me the 870 is a great gun none better for the money.
Thanks Jeremy,
the 870 is a platform a warrior can appreciate, (whether busting down doors, or clay targets or in the field) --- Its kind of like the shotgun equivalent of a Ruger 10/22 or a Marlin 336 ---- one that does a great job, but we rarely brag about the appearance.
But some of the boom sticks you guys have ------------ Man. I love those nice doubles and singles. The '97s are cool, but i would love to shoot one of those Winchester lever action shotguns !
I also love the look of the Browning auto-5, as well as the early Winchester autoloaders ----not as traditional as the doubles, but these are still beautiful designs, aesthetically. I have been trying to find a pic of my dad's old model 50, but have been unlucky -- it now belongs to my brother. A slimmer, more graceful platform i have rarely encountered (although in profile, this gun looks like most other autoloaders ) ----- Of course the family tie-in may distort my view of these a little, as they were only out there for 10 years or so in the '50s
