Do not complain about growing old. It is a privilege denied to many.

I have a pretty good collection of Twainisms. Between Twain and Aesop as life guides one could do right well.
Jeepnik AKA "Old Eyes"
"Go low, go slow and preferably in the dark" The old Sarge (he was maybe 24.
"Freedom is never more that a generation from extinction" Ronald Reagan
"Every man should have at least one good rifle and know how to use it" Dad

Jim, that sure makes me think of all of the young people who are dying on both sides in Ukraine.

I pray that this war comes to a halt very soon.

Today my Dad would have turned 100, the year I turned 59 he called me and said, "Happy Birthday Old Man." I asked him, "...isn't that like the pot callin' the kettle black?" He was two weeks shy of turning 86. His answer was that he'd planned on waiting until I was 60, "...but I'm not sure I'll live that long." 6 weeks later he passed on. I'm still sure he was too young. I give thanks for every day I'm able to rise and take nourishment. The aches and pains are proof a life well enjoyed.
