Rock Mountain 8 gauge Events

Shot the Northern SxS last weekend at Rock Mountain Sporting Clays in Meshoppen PA . This year they had the usual thirty bird five stand 8 gauge event and a thirty bird 8 gauge event on the course . We had ten or more in each event . Pics here are at the five stand .

We had observers following us on the course and a small gallery at the five stand . I didn’t win either event but a second and a tie for third weren’t bad as well as third in the combined .

When I was competing all I wanted was for at least some of my entry fees to be returned, tho quite often I'd get it all back and then some.
Of course that was back a few years when I was in the groove.
Would be a site to see all those 8 bores speaking.

I’ve shot the 8 gauge pretty well this year all my scores have been close to the top . Bling is nice but I’m more worried about not making a fool of myself .

I hear that, I haven't shot bunker for 2 years, went Saturday and broke the first target out- WHEW!! and the last one as well- WHEW!

The Vintage Cup will be at Hopkins Sporting Clays in Kennedyville MD October 3-5 and on the 3rd and 4th we can shoot the 8’s in another five stand event and a thirty target on the course event . And yes it’s my intention to be there the 3rd and 4th . Shoot the 8 events and atleast two of the four 10 gauge events .
