He sounds like an amazing man for sure and quite the inspiration. It sounds like he died doing what he loved the most in the world. May God bless him and his family. -Tutt

He was a good guy ... really dedicated to hunting ... was a Life Member of Safari Club International, where he served with distinction as Record Book Committee Co-Chairman, Asia Subchair, and Record Book Handgun Consultant. His contributions to the organization and the hunting community were invaluable.

He started and ran SHOW-ME SAFARI'S in Missouri many years ago. I was honored to be the first person invited to hunt it. Took a big red hog with the .475 Linebaugh and shot a big goat with my Linebaugh .45 Colt.

Looks like he lived a very fulfilling and adventerous life, so that's pretty cool. It even ended in a pretty good way, versus what so often happens. Well done....!

I was going, "That name seems familiar, but where from?"

Turns out that I have, enjoyed reading and got good info from his book on handgun hunting.

Sorry to hear this. I have read his stuff, too, and he spoke from experience.
