Maybe under new management they can bring T/C into the present with a new AR variant - the T/CAR, and perhaps a striker fired polymer pistol or 2 !

a 50 Beo would be nice for the frail elderly who can't bench press 200 . . .

There is/was a utube of a 600 nitro contender, no one who tried it in the video could hold on to it. Thanks, I'll pass!

I hope they go back to what made them famous, Contenders and muzzleloaders. Encore or TCR and maybe a good quality bolt gun that stands out would be good. Not four different lines of box store discount bolt actions that no one can keep straight.

And maybe restart the custom shop for barrels! I'd like a .50 1:60 round ball barrel!
Maybe a .50 S&W barrel too!!

I had a 12” 444 Contender barrel once upon a time , that thing was a handful with any of my rifle loads

Guys, all kidding aside I am getting too old to beat my hands up like that anymore.

I shoot a lot more .38 and .44 Special these days.

But that’s a cool Contender!!

The 444 I had was on an old Contender frame the barrel was made by a guy in Idaho back in the 80’s or 90’s that did barrels for the IHMSA guys . When I was at the range shooting it I had three 444 levers and this pistol all shooting a different load , one of which was a Ballard rifled gun I was shooting 400+ grain bullets in . To make a long story short I got in a hurry and grabbed the 400 grainers and touched off at 100 yards three times . Ironically it shot a very nice group but OMG that load was stout in that pistol !

In my shooting career I had two contenders both with 14 inch barrels, one was a 30+30 and the other was 35 remington. That 30-30 was the hardest recoiling pistol I ever shot. The 35 Remington was not as hard, but was stout.

I would hope they come back out with the left handed hawkins, or renegages, and the contender pistols

If I had to guess, I’d say the new T/C wants to recreate the Encore ProHunter to reestablish that market. Gregg Ritz probably wants to recreate the company as he sold it.
The side hammer muzzleloaders were barely still in production at that time.
We’ll see where it goes. I wish them luck. I’ll still keep my old T/C’s.
