O.T. just in time...
Been in the 90's here for a few days, coming home from Pa yesterday afternoon We could see a bad storm before us to the West. Huge lightning & wind . Just before I pulled in the drive it hit . Momma got in the house , I camped out in the garage. I thought for sure I'd see a tornado but no, just blasting rain . A tree fell across the power lines down the street ,no power for 14 hours. The generator I got in '07 earned it's keep once again. ditches all overflowing water across the road. In All We got 5" of rain in 1 1/2 hours. I know this is nothing compared to what You Guys in the Southern States get. The worst wind and rain that I ever saw. I'm getting Old.
Re: O.T. just in time...
Weather is strange. Last week was 80° in western Wyoming. Yesterday it snowed! 25° last night and we'll be in 75-80°s again tomorrow.....

Re: O.T. just in time...
That's pretty normal for mid spring and mid fall here in Colorado in our valley on the front range. I've even come up with a name for the condition. You see, 'Indian Summer' is when there is a warm, dry period after a 'killing freeze'.
So, I came up with 'Indian Winter.' I define it as a 1" or larger snow within a day to day and a half after the temperature has hit a high of 80°. It turns out that in the last 6 years here in our valley, we've had Indian Winter 4 times. Mostly it happens in the spring but sometimes also in the fall so it's more common here than one would think.

Finally one missed this end of the Lake!
Glad you're ok, but we had three "catastrophic" events in my territory last spring and summer with one additional in January.
I was talking to my boss this afternoon, they may cancel our branch meeting tomorrow due to new claims. I hope so, I hate the drive to Canton!
Stay safe out there!

Re: O.T. just in time...
We need a nice light steady rain something fierce! Not a drop in probably 2 weeks, everything is wilting!
90°+ days are no help ,not to me either. The older I get the more I like winter!

AZ is under "FIRE RESTRICTIONS" for North Central and shooting is BANNED on Federal and State property. IT has been dry and the Monsoon season hasn't started. have ing to water trees and guarder at least weekly or more.

Re: O.T. just in time...
I’ve noticed that one thing that’s done during high fire danger is to ban shooting. Has a fire ever been started by shooting.

I was shooting sporting clays on a range that also had rifle & pistol ranges. Some nitwit shooting a 50 BMG with tracers and started a pile of tires in the backstop into a raging inferno.
