Fiebing's Neet's Foot Oil Compound. Which is what George Lawrence leather goods were dressed with.
Re: Favorite leather dressing
I've got an old can my Grandad used , had thought of Peccards which I also have.
Re: Favorite leather dressing
Black Rock Leather 'N Rich for heavy duty protection. But it will darken light colored leather. When darkening is not desired, Cadillac Shoe and Boot Leather Lotion. Not the same level of protection as Black Rock, but it really cleans and gives the leather a great feel.

Don't overlook Ballistol, I cleaned up a holster that was dry and over 50 years old, did a very good job,

Marvel Mystery oil does well but the leather will be a mahogany red color.
Neatsfoot is the best though.

Re: Favorite leather dressing
Lexol conditioner does not discolor leather and is my go to for maintaining leather. I like Black rock if I want it to shed water. I use that on all my saddles, it has a waxy coating.
Re: Favorite leather dressing
Careful with the Neatsfoot, a little goes a long way. Too much can ruin leather.
I use Obenaufs when things get too dry, otherwise I leave it alone.

What Samsi said. Too much neatsfoot and things get floppy. Also note there is a difference between pure neetsfoot oil and neetsfoot oil compound. Used to use neetsfoot on a new baseball mitt. Gosh that's been a minute -- back when Hillerich and Bradsby made their Louisville Sluggers out of ash. (Every time I hear the pathetic "tink" of a ball on an aluminum bat, I feel so sorry for today's kids.)
I use Obenauf's as well as mink oil, depending on end use.
