What in blazes is going on here?
Early Tuesday, I found the useful feature of changing font size on the default/logged off page. Now, I find that feature has been removed, and the completely useless/worthless feature of date/time has taken it's place. That is NOT progress. In fact, it's a step backward!
Both the methods of changing font size in another post, just swaps one problem for another. ie: larger font size, but having to scroll across because the window size is larger.
If you want to run the older people off, why not just ask us to leave?

Goat,
Hang on in there. I have been having all kinds of problems as well. Seems like there may be a bit of a browser incompatability with the forums features. I have been trying to change my font size for a couple of days, to no avail. I just entered the site, and lo and behold, the font size has changed to where I am now able to read it without a 32 power scope.??????? Strange indeed.
The guys are doing their best to sort things out.

Guys, I don't know what browser you use, in mine I hit control+ and the font size increases. Control- reduces font size.
Most browsers have similar font adjustments.

I changed to the old style format and 'Increased 'the 'text size in "View" tool bar option..
Much better....

Re: What in blazes is going on here?
The control + method increases both font size AND screen size. That requires scrolling across to read post.
The "change font size" link that was taken off, changed ONLY font size.

I'm going top assume you are using Internet Explorer...In the tool bar on the right hand side there is a button that says page, and has a little arrow facing down. Hit it, then scroll doen to text size, adjust the text sixe there and try that.
I hope that helps, I hate to see you go.

I like this one better than what it was before. Everything works fine on my browser.

We are never going to try and "run off" anyone. If you do wrong you'll be gone but we certainly aren't out looking for people to get remove. We simply don't have the time for it.
As to the other changes, I'm sure Paul has been playing. I know I haven't, don't have the time.

Old Goat,
If you do what CindyLea said, it will change the font size and keep it all on the page so you don't have to scroll across.
thanks Cindylea
