How bout that? It's actually a shotgun sling, but it should work fine on your levergun - I just bought a Texan too (1954) and I think this is what I'll go with for it... it's at http://www.dixiegunworks.com under "shooting supplies" section. There are other options too - just go there and check around if you're interested.

I'd think so, but there are ways to mount a stable sling without buggering the barrel or stock.
Get a forearm band with sling stud on it directly from Marlin, then get a leather Butt-cuff from one of the members here.
That way, if you decide to sell it, you just replace the forearm band with the original and remove the cuff. No damage

...and I don't think he even knows it...Walks around with a half-assed grin...If he feels fear, he don't show it. Just rides into hell and back again.

I'm not sure, but, if you're going to shoot it anyway, I doubt it. But, meanc has a great idea there.meanc wrote:I'd think so, but there are ways to mount a stable sling without buggering the barrel or stock.

I'm with MeanC on this one. No rubbing on bbl. with the sling and you can always return it to it's original form if need be.
