Outdated Cultural Depiction
I have been noticing lately that the warnings at the front of some Westerns have " OC--Outdated Cultural Depiction".
Why do you think they feel they have to warn us? I think if the younger crowd watched westerns they could learn a thing or three.
Maybe seeing how all the blood, sweat and tears put into building our Country may put them in shock!
Maybe I am "Outdated" too.

Just more of the 'Thought Police' working to destroy America. Things are going down much faster than I thought possible.

Heck, I'd pay extra for movies that have " Outdated Cultural Depiction" .
Whatever you do always give 100%........... unless you are donating blood.

Absolutely!!! They're almost always better than the current junk they are putting out today.gamekeeper wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2023 8:00 am Heck, I'd pay extra for movies that have " Outdated Cultural Depiction" .
BTW, I for one hope that the writer's and actor's strike goes on for at least a year. Then they'll understand just how unimportant they really are to the society and how little their radical agendas are appreciated by real folks.

Movies with this warning might just teach things like morals and ethics. The sorts of things that scare today's children. You know the politicians.

I haven't bought a ticket to anything on a stage or on a cinema screen in a quarter century so let the goomers strike !
With the thousands of films in the public domain available for viewing online for free I'm ok. Even the ones that get zapped from the "toob" for copyright issues can often be found on archive.org for a "borrow". The good thing about early talkies through the so-called "golden age" of hollywood are the runtimes. The great majority in the public domain are scarcely over an hour long.

Amazon released years ago the "J.T. Edson" books on Kindle (one a month for years). I reread a bunch in chronological order, and was very disappointed to see them edit these to be a bit more PC. Who the heck do they think their market was for these books? Editor probably moved on to run marketing for Bud Light...
