My wife always used to say that when they used the designation "CAR-15" to refer to the AR-15 with collapsible stock that it meant "Child's AR"....since an AR-15 with the stock fully collapsed is the perfect gun for a youngster learning to shoot, especially when you put a 22 long rifle adapter in it. It's durable, The flash suppressor keeps the muzzle from getting plugged if the kid hits the ground with it, the sights don't require an awkward cheek weld, and are far easier to use than the cheap open sites on "kids 22s" - and of course there is the 'cool Factor'...

Surely Doc they are not just for kids but adults of small stature, be very wrong to discriminate against small people so they can not have guns designed for them.... :lol:
