I have a lot of .30-40 and even more .303 British that was also brought up in that post.
New .35 Winchester from Quality Cartridge co. on the right, .303 in the center and a .30-40 on the left.
The .303 would be much too short, but the .30-40s work.

I loaded some .358 Hornady 180 XTPs over 30 Grains of Varget to fire form the brass.

Shot a pretty good group with it offhand at 50 yds. Shoots really low, but would make a decent small game load.

Took a couple of pistols along for fun. The 586 didn't shoot as well as I thought it would with the 158 Gr / 6.5 Unique load that
my dad's Python and Troopers shoot so well. Back to the 180 gr/ IMR 4227 for the Smith I think.
A friend had given me a bag full of Glock 23 magazines that he'd been given by someone else, so naturally I went and bought a police trade G23 to go with them.
Say what you want about Glocks, but every one I've had has shot well for me.

Nice day to take grandpa's 95 out for a couple of hours.
I'll get the formed brass and new Q. Cart. brass loaded and head back out as soon as I can.
