POLITICS - "White" Men and the Democrat Party
Ok, so this is a pot stirring post, no doubt. However, given the interest in the post on Liberals and guns I thought this lengthy and fairly well documented blog post on the Dems needing the white male vote to win in 2008 very interesting.
Sincerely,

I mean no disrespect to Junior or any other members here who belong to the Democrat party, but this white (light tan actually) male wouldn't vote for a Democrat if they paid me. Even if it was under the table, in used 10s and 20s, tax free, and untraceable. Nope not me.
For too long I've watched what this traitorous group has done to destroy this country and personally I think 99.9% of them should be locked up.
It just tickles me silly to hear that they think they need the "white males" vote to elect a black or a witch. I think that's funny.

People who think that nominies are more qualified to be President because they are female, white, black, richer or more attractive than the other nominies, are seriously confused.
But then I never thought slick willie would be elected the first time, let alone the second. So maybe I'm the one who's confused.
There is a guy at work that said Fred Thompson wouldn't have a chance because of the way he looks and his wife is younger and pretty

Ummmm.....If I thought the Black guy or the B**ch were the best person for the job, I would vote that way. Gender or race or religion (except muslim...that's a no brainer
) don't mean anything to me. If Maggie Thacher were running, and Black, she'd get my vote in a heartbeat
Colin Powell would get my serious consideration, as well.......

tubbs,
If margaret thatcher was running, she would not get my vote, and I dont care what color she is. She, and her economics, ran the economy into the ground, and was a main factor in my business closing, and me moving to the USA.
What this country and the UK needs is a true clear thinking statesman with the future in mind, and not political ego trippers who have no care or forethought. Look at the UK today and what it used to be 60 or so years ago, and draw a comparison with the USA. We are heading rapidly down the same slippery slope.
I would not vote for clinton, but truly believe she will be the next president. The sad thing is, it will be sending this country in the wrong direction for at least another 4 years, and possibly more.

Things were going poorly all over in those days........But: Was it the PM or the spending by the MPs?She, and her economics, ran the economy into the ground, and was a main factor in my business closing, and me moving to the USA.
Sorry for the hyjack, but it's about the same here...Congress actually spends the money, no matter who they blame

Tubbs,
Back then, it wasn't so much about spending in the true sense of the word, but more about closing of industries and the selling of national assets. True MP's are to blame as well. According to the thatcher regime, if you didn’t agree to her policies and line of thinking you didn’t stay around too long. Just take a look at the members of her cabinet who were dismissed or fired.
Thatcher was a very clever and manipulating woman, who got her way. Looking back, it appears her method of governing, was bordering on dictatorship. She was the head of her government, and ultimately must take the responsibility for it success of failure. Her greatest strength was also her weakest feature, so it turned out to be in the end. That was her stubbornness and inflexibility. She took on and held a line of policies, that were failing, and refused to accept that fact. If she could have admitted that she was wrong, and made changes accordingly, she may have gone down in history as the greatest leader in history. This trait is so common to may politicians, and finally after they have committed lasting damage, they are ousted.
Sadly, most politicians fail to grasp the size of the situations they are handling, and the future consequences that their decisions will have. Thatcher applied corner shop mentality and managing skills to a nation with disastrous results.
Thatcher is not the only one guilty of this. We see this in all countries of the world.
When she is in the ground pushing up daisies, I certainly won’t shed a tear. To use kinder words, I would quote someone (I do not know their name), on the death of richard nixon. I think it goes like this," I should say nothing bad about him, but I can also think of nothing good to say about him".
My sentiments on politicians, and their unsavory profession.

At least I'd have something to show on the bottom line for participating in the democratic process.

Truman, no. Kennedy, no - at least not in tax policy. Roosevelt - the modern Democrats sure are. Expand the government into every nook and cranny they can, the Constitution be darned. Roosevelt's "New Deal" (i.e. - bringing Socialism to America) started this darn mess...BruceB wrote: Yep. The current Demacratic Party isn't the one of Roosevelt, Truman, or John Kennedy.

I'd vote for Michael Steele, Ken Blackwell, J.C. Watts if given a chance. I have voted for Alan Keyes in primaries. I'd probably vote for Dr. Rice (Condi). I wouldn't vote for Colin Powell because he's anti-gun. The sex or color of their skin is meaningless. As with Tubby, religion doesn't matter, though right now, I'd have a hard time being convinced a practicing Muslim would do what is going to need to be done in the Middle East and elsewhere the way things are going.
Hobie - I'll stop here (you know me, I could go on, and on, and on) - but thanks for "stirring the pot"!

Amazed really...
I continue to be amazed that the Democrat party's choices in this election cycle aren't any better than Hillary or Obama. Are there NO experienced, honest statesman-like individuals ( of either sex...) with honor and integrity left in the Democrat party....???? Obama may someday be a fine, "world-class" candidate for the highest office...but @ this time, he is woefully inexperienced to be in the Oval office during these dangerous times. Hillary Clinton is just too slimy. Too many incidents of questionable deals. Too many convenient gaps in memory. A noticeable lack of any sense of personal honor or ethics, other than the drive for power @ any cost or price. THERE HAS TO BE SOMEONE ELSE...!! Doesn't there...?????

The problem is your looking at Oprah's favorite son and the wanta be politically correct -liberal- ability don't count-intention does-block of voters for one candidate. For the other the clinton democrat mahine that can orchastrate, minipulate, control, twist and destroy when they want

Paste these two together on a ticket after Hillary teaches him his place, and watch the liberals orgasem

I believe that is exactly what will happen too. That pair would be the worst nightmare I can imagine, if they got elected.Caco wrote: Paste these two together on a ticket after Hillary teaches him his place, and watch the liberals orgasem![]()

Not from a pro gun point of view Junior.
I'm fed up with the current crop of Rep myself but, & its a big but
as screwed up as they are they leave guns alone. I cant say I believe that any less restrictions would have happened post 911 with the Dems in power. But I can say, with sincerety that I believe there would have been sweeping gun control legislation drafted, pusherd thru & passed if they were.
On the federal level both major parties are peopled by power hungry moral midgets. They just have slightly different views on how to subjugate us.

YesSir.......I realize you have good (I hope) reason to trust your local Dems, but Bush and Cheny got us two good, conservative Suprem Court judges. I shudder when I think of what kind of baby killing, gun hating judges Gore or Kerry would have got us.....AND, Gore and especially Kerry would not have kicked some muslim azz after 911..they's prolly have us praying to the East five time a day so we wouldn't make them madJunior wrote:Even worse than the present nightmare of Bush and Cheney? Al Sharpton, showed up in Lancaster over some school security guards handling of some student misbehavior. Naturally mentioned the Jena 6 for it's race baiting value. This is getting very old and with each bogus use gets less credible and more counter productive and exposes Al and his ilk for what they are - Race Baiters.

Rev Al bit off more than he can chew over the Jena Six incidents. As weeks go by the national and Louisiana media are reporting more and more of what really happened and just exactly what kind of kids those six boys really are--hoodlums, to say the least. Much of what they did, two of them in particular, was as juveniles and can't be reported, even by me here. Let me just say you wouldn't want the two in a class with your kids. In fact, you wouldn't want them in the same school with your kids.
This will come back and haunt Rev Al and Rev Jessie.
Our governor, a Democrat sad to say, has put a six-man team of state troopers guarding Mychal Bell 24/7.
It's costing $33 per hour for the least senior trooper. . . .
