Took along the Russian SKS I picked up a couple months ago and a barely used Cimarron Thunderer in .44 Special. Those two along with the other constant companions, Bowen SBH, S&W M&P 9mm and the Mossberg Shockwave that rides in my truck 99% of the time.
Bandit was ready for another adventure.

The Cimarron is a Keeper! I had three different boxes of .44s to try out.
I've had his box of Remington 246 LRN for at least 20 years. The Thunderer much prefers the slow, heavy bullets.
The handloads I had along were far too fast and all over the place. They shoot well in the SBH however.

We have a big list of improvements to make this year. The kitchen T&G flooring is getting soft and will have to be cut out and replaced.
New roof as well. Just about every other camp along our road has gone to a metal roof. Gong to have to track down some guys for that one. Just can't do that roofing stuff anymore.
Another project that I'm going to have to do so my 81 year old dad, and me eventually, is replace or rebuild the steps up the little hill.
The hemlock trees on either side of walk and stairs have heaved them up and out of place to the point that they're getting dangerous.
