I don't know about the 30mm but I had a friend who had a 20mm. I called him one day and he had his kids out picking up the brass. He said he could not get many in a 5 gallon bucket! He did not buy powder by the pound!

The shark mouth is used by the 23rd FB group, each plane has to fly a certain number of missions to earn the shark mouth paint job.

I've a patient who flew an A-10. He described it as "a plane built to fit a gun". Dunno if that is true, but he also said the responsibility and power was both humbling and energizing; somebody messing with the boys on the ground won't do it after 'the Hog' makes a pass or two. Not much can survive that kind of firepower.
Another patient flew a helicopter with similar armament and said pretty much the same things.

I visited with a wart hog driver at an airshow in Juneau. He said he can put every round in a 55 gallon drum from a mile away. Sheeesh.
right over on the other hand, this puppy would be satisfying, https://shopcoltfirearms.com/colt-1877- ... l-edition/
some of you'all might have firearms you could trade straight across. and already have the reloading supplies, could use squib loads for practice before the hogs move in . . .

Heck, I would just love to fly the plane, much less let a few rounds off downrange.

Years ago Mike Dillon had a quad 50 that I think was originally used as an anti-aircraft gun.
I had the opportunity to shoot it and it was unlike any other firearm experience I have ever had.

...and at a mere $39,000 the Colt Gatling is probably about a hundredth the cost of the GE 39mm and 'holster'...

Tryin to think about that but once you have a Rossi 357 Trapper and a Colt SAA 45 …
Re: Gun I'd like to start saving up for....
Yeah, what's 39K means to thems that gots it. Think Musk would notice the cash flow? Not even. But he might notice the gatling gun. Or he might buy a Wart Hog and have some real fun. I doubt he would miss the cost of that either. That's just how it is . . . This "little" shell that I found in my dad's belongings after he passed away appears to be very similar to the one posted in the OP. It measures right around 30mm. I've been wondering exactly what it was...so can someone here enlighten me as to what caliber it is, and what it would be fired from?
Thanks!
Frank

Gonna need a bigger reloading press and a custom mould and lead pot for that Warthog round. Not to mention a BUNCH of wheelweight lead to feed that thing!!! Powder/primers are another story

I would make sure it is a dummy round. Most likely is but...They are fired electrically, so the right static discharge could set it off.
