Hunting on a Tuesday? If I'd have known you didn't want your SS check this month I would have gone huntin!

Busy afternoon, working in town, drop 50 bucks on weezer fuel at 5.39⁹ a gallon, get home and start scrambling to get dogs out, open a package from Amazon, ordered a new lightweight wheelchair for mom( happy birthday momma Win) and she can't get between the arm rests. Go online to return it, they won't take it back! So I finally found a CALL ME button and some woman from Bangalore calls me. She said oh we will give you a refund but you need to donate the chair to an organization. Ok I can do that.
Then I had to run back to town to pick up an Rx. Not far , only 3 miles but its uphill both ways. Get home feed das hunds then go back down the street to do my daily house check and finally take my boots off and here I am. WHEW!

Hopefully we will get a reprieve. They were saying Thursday is supposed to be nice. Like to put on some snowshoes and snoop around at the lot for a while.

Looks like I missed some big doings here last night. I had my win taken back, and looks like there was some post deletions. Lot of brass on the ground this morning.

They keep threatening snow here but so far we haven't had enough to make a snow ball...

Post's deleted should not alter whoever wins a page or it will start a deleting war as well as the Jay Bird war. I hate logging on and seeing all this brass on the ground..

I'm down in Bournemouth, staying with Shirley for a few days so apart from a couple of air rifles and Shirley's Mossberg slugster, don't expect too many range reports...

It was nice here over the weekend, in the 60s. Now its snowing!

No brass on the ground here, just pock marks and ricochets.

Toe is ok, still a little sore but nothing i can't handle.

Bournemouth, had to look at _oogle maps, right on the coast, must be quite nice there? (I left off the G, they are listening)

Hi Guys....all I'm gonna say is you should have been here last night......somebody we know went to a concert and came home drunk.........it was like being in Ukraine......tracer rounds were flying back and forth......a few 105's landed so I had enough and sent a tactical nuke due west 3.000 miles......when the smoke cleared 11 posts were deleted and 7 were edited......

It was absolute terror and I had no help ...you guys were all asleep when I needed you most......I burned up 4,580 rounds out of the BAR and 72 thirty round mags from the AR's.....the only incoming I had were the 105's that were bought and paid for by someone else and a few cast bullets that landed waaaayyy short and were spread out terribly.....I recovered some and determined they came from a Rossi gun....some rainbow colored arrows with pink tips also came in but did no harm.....

Funnny thing though...the "soldiers" were "unisoldiers".....just one sex.....---006

For the Dog owners , Watching Carson re-runs the other night. Michael Landon "little Joe" from Bonanza was on talking about His new house & Nice Neighbors. neighbors have a pet rabbit. they go away for the weekend. Landon goes out in the morning to get the paper , He looks and his dog is on the porch with the neighbors rabbit that is dead. He flips, How to tell them My dog killed it?. cleans the rabbit up and puts it back in the hutch.
Monday morning He sees the neighbor, great weekend He says but it's funny "our rabbit died Friday and we buried it". today it's back in the hutch.

Anyway...it's wedges of potato skins with a thin layer of potato still inside with toppings like cheese and bacon and then baked. The wife always gets them cause she loves potatoes anyways.

Hey! You ever watch "The Feed at Night"? It comes on at 11:30 and a gal and a guy are the hosts and they have funny stuff on, videos and such.......anyway, either the guy is well endowed or he has a sack of potatoes in his pants but he makes it very obvious. Me and mom laugh like crazy.

I don't like UNDERWEAR fries!!!

Now I'm a connoisseur of fries, I spent years perfecting fries. The final verdict is fresh cut taters, twice fried in DUCK FAT. First fry at 325, second fry at 375 to crisp up then sprinkled with OLD BAY. And if I'm really looking for a great big feed I'll open a can of Stokes Green Chili with pork. Thankfully Amazon sells it as the only place I was able to get Stokes was in Colorado. Walk into a restaurant and order chili burger, or chili fries and you would be asked Red or Green. Great on burgers, fries, onion rings, burritos or anything else you might like. Man now I'm hungry for a bacon double cheese burger from Emily's truck stop in Trinidad!

French Fries? When i was a kid...about 10, there was an old ramshackle bar about a mile from home.....it was very old then....it burnt down in the mid sixties..........my dad, being the scavenger he was, was walking through the rubble and pulled this out.....

This thing will make a bucket load of French fries in 5 minutes.....we use it about once a month.....the sharp part is stainless and I mounted the whole thing on a thick plastic board.........it's heavy, 30-35 pounds at least.......very solid with no play

You put one potato on it and pull the handle and most of the potato comes out so you put another one on it and that pushes out the first one...and so on.......has a patent date from the teens.....

And NO! You can't have it.......

On another note, I had to drive into Media to drop off our taxes to the accountant.......it was 5:20 when mom says, "lets go drop off the taxes". I said, "like hell, it's rush hour and Rt. 352 will backed up down to Sycamore Dr., (about a mile) then Rt1 going into Media is bumper to bumper."

Well, you guys know how it is here...mom wins.....so into the Jeep we go at 5:30 and make the first 5 miles easily as it's all back roads...then head up to 352 and 2 miles on that to Rt. 1...another 1/4 mile and into the accountants office.....never stopped once for more than 15 seconds! no one on the roads and the lights were green......

Passed WaWa...$5.45 for diesel and $4.45 for junky 87 oct............then went past Costco .....they don't have diesel but low oct. was $4.25 for junk and $4.84 for the stuff I use ....93 oct.

Putin is using vacuum bombs.....sucks the air out of your lungs and everything else that breathes....dogs, cats, horses, toads....

This guy is in a no win situation whatever he does....even if he stops right now....he needs to be stopped for the humanitarian issues. This is no different than Hitler's Blitzkriegs.....killing EVERYTHING......this S bothers the heck out of me.....

Me and Gracie sitting watching a move. "Arctic". It's a good movie about a guy that survived a plan crash. He stayed a long time then decided to hike out.
Another good one is "Two against the ice". A true story of an Arctic expedition. Two guys left and it took almost 900 days for them to be found. I have always found the early 20th century Arctic and antarctic explorations fascinating.

I like old stuff too....it was made to last......remember refrigerators would last 20-30 years....now they are good for 5-10 depending on how much you pay for them.....I had a frigidaire made in Mexico that lasted 4 years.......bought a Whirlpool and it's been going strong for at least 8 years...
About the only thing made today that lasts longer are cars.......back in my day if you had 75K on a vehicle, it blew smoke and you didnt dare run it hard.....even underwear don't last anymore.....a few blasts and a hole about 2" forms on the back. I sewed a piece of heavy duty aluminum foil in that area.

Here in the inbred hick infested woods of Maine, you still see Fish and Chips called Fish and Chips.
However.....that is the only context in which fries are called chips. I don't know why. I think because of proximity to Canada and it being a favorite of theirs when here.
I don't know about the Kingdom of Gamekeeper, but in Maine when you order fish and chips, the fish is haddock.
We may be idiots up here, but the ONLY place I've ever been that had fish and seafood as good as ours was Alaska.
It wasn't till I traveled a little that I understood how weird this state is.

Yeah, Gracie was sawing them off. She had some big doings going on cause she was twitching up a storm. I have hopes she is going to be a good one. She seems quite smart and willing to listen, which is usually a rare combo for our pets.
I will admit that even though this was the wife's pup, when she sits at attention with the ears up and the shepherd head tilt, she sure is pretty.

The people (just one lady) came and installed the phone....SUPER CLEAR.....they do ask questions to make sure it's legit such as my hearing aid provider.

As we are going through the different controls she asked me if I understood everything and I told her, "sure, easy and self explanatory. You know, they have to make these phones for the stupidest of stupid people." She prodded me on that and I told her how four of us have to have our own private thread on our discussion board" I was telling her how some guys on the board put the potatoes in the BACK of their pants before going to the club and she said, "don't they know the potatoes need to go in the front of their pants?" Man! Did she laugh!

She did tell me to let other people know ....you just have to have some kind of explanation about your hearing.

Fish & chips should be COD, sadly the cod population isn't high enough in these waters. Haddock is almost as good. A good beer batter makes all the difference.
