I have a lot of 32 H&R info but nothing on the .327 yet.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

It's been a busy week and just got back here.
I've tried to quit twice and they won't let me!
The last combination I was working with was 4.4 grains of Unique and a 100 gr Cast Performance LSWCGC bullet. That one produced 2"-3" groups. It wasn't long after the original post that I ended up in the hospital for 4 mos. and a long recovery. The Single Seven has been sitting around taking up space until just a few days ago. Odd how these thing work.Scott Tschirhart wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 7:13 pm I know that it has been a while, but I am starting to load for my .327 Single Seven and I wonder if anyone has some updates? I picked up some 110 gr Montana Bullet Works FNGC and I ordered some 100 gr XTPs (factory federal 100 gr loads are smoking hot but this gun loves them).
Any guidance on loads for these bullets?
I'm hopeful that Ruger will turn out a Marlin levergun in this caliber. Several of us are lobbying for it.
As you can see, Rob's design holds the pistol firmly even when one is completely inverted.
I told Bobby this weekend that I wish every Ruger Single Action had a trigger as good as this one. I have never had a Ruger (factory or custom) that felt this good.
I have heard that they are tack drivers when you find a load that they like. Hopefully this spring we can see a difference.
Same length as mine!
Scott, are they American Elk or Sambar Stag grips? Sure are nice!Scott Tschirhart wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 9:39 amI told Bobby this weekend that I wish every Ruger Single Action had a trigger as good as this one. I have never had a Ruger (factory or custom) that felt this good.
I don’t think this test really demonstrates that the gun favors light bullets but rather that it really likes that load.
Well, I'm definitely watching your results with interest. There's still a dearth of components (brass and ammo, anyway) on the market. I managed to lay in a supply of projectiles last year, sure wish I'd made a list of what's still on hand. Todd Corder's been playing with the caliber as well, he's been shooting up to 125 gr, maybe even heavier. I need to look at his results again.Scott Tschirhart wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 9:55 pmI don’t think this test really demonstrates that the gun favors light bullets but rather that it really likes that load.
I have some other loads and other bullets to try. I’m still thinking a 110 gr cast bullet will do well with the right powder charge.
Thanks!!Oldncrusty wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 9:15 am Just a heads up. I noticed yesterday that Natchez has 100 gr Hornady XTPs on sale. $23 per box.
Thanks for the heads up. I don't always remember to check with them.Oldncrusty wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 9:15 am Just a heads up. I noticed yesterday that Natchez has 100 gr Hornady XTPs on sale. $23 per box.
