For you fellers that like Charter Arms guns

I know several of you like the little guns. I shot this doe with my 5" Target Bulldog. I carry a Charter Arms revolver hunting a couple of times a year.

I've always liked the Bulldog - had ones from both the 'old' and 'new' companies, and they all worked.

Wanted a 45 Colt one, but got a mammoth-sized Redhawk instead.

One of the best-handling target type revolvers I ever handled was a Charter Arms 357 Mag with a 5 or 6 inch barrel, back in the 1980's. I should have bought it but didn't have the funds at the time.

This gun from a bench at 25 yards will keep 5 shots touching with the load I am using. It chronographs 852fps.

I really like my Southpaw. I was quite hopeful that CA would bring some of it's other offerings out in lefty versions but alas it hasn't happened.

As a kid around 11 or so, I saw my daddy take a shot at at pigeon sitting on top of a tobacco barn with an Undercover . I’m guessing at least 40 but probably closer to 50 yards. The bird crumpled at the shot. A truly spectacular shot from a cheap belly gun.

Thirty some years later that 38 was stolen in a burglary. Recently my daddy bought my aunt one of those Smith and Wesson EZ autos because she couldn’t pull the trigger on her Undercover. She gave him her Charter then He gave me the revolver before we found out he was sick. I bought a spurless hammer, a holster, and a bigger grip from charter. I trimmed the rubber grips down a lot and it’s a a slick little pocket piece now with the new hammer in.

I had a Charter Arms Bulldog in .44 Special back in the 80s. It was a comfortable gun and Federal had a very soft 240 gr hollow point load that made me feel good.
