Re: Sixgun Magic
NO condescending but what did he do? The gun should do that out of the box after several hundred jacketed rounds....it's 50 feet (17 yards)...using a dead soft bullet at about 750 fps out of a heavy framed revolver which would result in easier shooting due to the weight of the gun and a very light recoiling cartridge.
I can see a forcing cone polishing with a bit of a chamfer and possibly honing out the throats IF they were tight along with stoning of the sear and a reduction in hammer spring strength.
Either way, it gives you more confidence knowing for sure it's "on the money". For the heck of it check the throats and see what they are and size your cast accordingly.
Lets hope Old Savage pays attention to this post..he has a NIB specimen that he don't want to shoot.....in his words, "keep em el primo".
I always wanted one of the large frame Buckeyes in 32-20....have a S.S.in 32 mag.------006

Re: Sixgun Magic
3# no creep trigger. The timing is different. I am not experienced enough to be able to describe it. But it’s different. Everything is smoother. The whole thing feels different. It’s kind of like the difference between my 1907 1892 and a Rossi without the NKJ tune. Timney and Volquartsen got nothing on this trigger. Maybe my Clark Custom 10/22 trigger is its equal. My custom BLR trigger is this nice. My model 19s and 66 are creepy SA wise.Sixgun wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 7:39 pm NO condescending but what did he do?
