You wouldn't believe all the oddball terms embarrassed patients use to refer to their more personal body parts that are having symptoms. If the patient is embarrassed, the medical assistants hate to press them for too much detail and figure the patient may be more comfortable sorting it out with me once I enter the room, so over the years in a few cases the patient's slang term misled my medical assistant enough that they had the patient gown with the wrong body part accessible... :lol:

Then there was the time a guy needed an EKG so the MA (who was a bit spacey) told him "Here's a gown; while I go get the EKG machine, slip everything off below the waist, then I'll be back to do the EKG...". When she returned, he asked her "Where exactly are you planning to attach those wires...?" :shock:
